Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of y2mate, the website at y2mate.party, and the YouTube downloading tools available on it (together, the "Service"). In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of y2mate, and "you" refers to every person who uses the Service.

Please read these Terms carefully. They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you in return.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement in the country where you live, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Service

y2mate is a free online tool that converts a YouTube video link into an MP3 audio file or an MP4 video file in qualities from 144p to 1080p, depending on what is available for each video. Files larger than 1 GB cannot be processed. You do not need an account to use the Service.

The Service does not host, upload or publish videos. When you submit a link, the requested file is prepared by a third-party processing provider and delivered to your device through a temporary download link.

We may add, change or remove features, formats or quality options at any time.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. When you use it, you agree that you will:

  • download only content that you own, that the rights holder has allowed you to download, or that you are otherwise legally entitled to download, such as works in the public domain or published under a license that permits it;
  • respect the rights of creators and follow the terms of the platform on which the content is published;
  • not use the Service to infringe copyright, trademarks or any other rights, and not share or distribute downloaded content without the permission of its owner;
  • not use bots, scripts, scrapers or any other automated means to access the Service, and not send it an unreasonable volume of requests;
  • not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service or the systems that support it;
  • not resell the Service, build it into another product or present it as your own;
  • not use the Service for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose.

You alone are responsible for the links you submit and for how you use the files you download. We may refuse to process any request that appears to break these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

The y2mate name, logo, website design, text and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our prior written permission, except where the law allows it.

All videos, music and other content that you access through the Service belong to their respective owners. We do not claim ownership of that content, and using the Service does not give you any rights to it. Downloading a file does not grant you a license to copy, share, publish or sell it.

5. Copyright Infringement and Takedown Requests

We respect the rights of copyright owners and expect our users to do the same. If you own a copyright, or are authorized to act for someone who does, and you believe the Service is being used to access your work without permission, please send a written notice to contact@y2mate.party that includes:

  • your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  • a description of the copyrighted work that you believe is being infringed;
  • the full YouTube link (URL) of each video that your notice concerns;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

What Happens After You Send a Notice

We review every complete notice promptly and take appropriate action, which may include preventing the videos you identify from being processed by the Service. Notices that are missing required information may take longer to handle.

Because we do not host any videos, the original content stays on the platform where it was published. To have it removed from that platform, please also use the platform's own copyright reporting process. Knowingly sending a false or misleading notice may make you liable for damages.

6. Third-Party Services

Files are prepared and delivered by a third-party processing provider, and the videos themselves come from YouTube. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their availability, content or practices. A video may be impossible to download because of restrictions set by its owner, by YouTube or by our provider.

YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. y2mate is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by YouTube or Google. We mention YouTube on this website only to describe what the Service works with.

7. Third-Party Links and Advertising

The Service may display advertisements and contain links to websites or services run by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, offers or privacy practices, and showing them does not mean that we endorse them. Any dealings you have with advertisers or other third parties are solely between you and them, so please review their terms and privacy policies before you use them.

8. Linking to Our Website

You are welcome to link to y2mate, provided that the link is fair and lawful, does not suggest any partnership, approval or endorsement on our part that does not exist, and does not harm our reputation. You may not display the Service inside a frame on another website or present our pages as part of another site.

9. Availability of the Service

The Service is offered free of charge. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any particular video, format or quality can be downloaded.

The Service may not be available in some countries or regions. We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue all or part of the Service, in any location, at any time and without notice.

10. No Warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all files, information and content made available through it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service or any file obtained through it.

Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid us to use it, if any. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms or your violation of the rights of any third party.

13. Privacy and Cookies

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Service, including our use of cookies, and forms part of these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or to the law. When we do, we will publish the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Changes take effect as soon as they are published, and by continuing to use the Service afterwards you accept the updated Terms.

15. Applicable Law and General Provisions

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not remove any protection you are entitled to under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force and effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.

16. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please email us at contact@y2mate.party or visit our Contact Us page.
